"Legends" are former staff members who have stepped away from active game administration but remain respected figures within the community. While they no longer hold direct authority, many offer valuable insights, guidance, and historical knowledge of the game's systems and lore. Some Legends continue to assist players informally, sharing their experience and expertise, though their level of involvement varies. While not all Legends take on mentorship roles, they are often seen as a source of wisdom for those navigating the world of Death's Omen.
"Builder" is defined as a worldbuilder or area designer within Death's Omen. Builders are responsible for the creation and maintenance of in-game environments, including rooms, objects, mobs, and scripts that bring the world of Zalanthas to life. Working under the guidance of the Highlords and in collaboration with Storytellers, Builders contribute to the visual and atmospheric immersion of the game by developing new zones, expanding existing areas, and ensuring all elements are consistent with the lore and standards of the world. While they do not typically handle player petitions or IC animations, Builders are expected to communicate regularly with staff, respond to feedback, and meet quality standards. Those who excel in building and demonstrate a strong grasp of thematic design may be invited to take on more advanced responsibilities.
"Storyteller" is defined as a Role-Play Administrator. These staff members oversee the day-to-day flow of the game world. Their duties include, but are not limited to: reviewing character applications, answering petitions, responding to email, expansion and building, researching and writing crafts, writing documentation, running NPC animations, addressing issue reports, and moving plots. All Storytellers are expected to log in daily if possible to keep up to date. Any Storytellers that show a history of inactive status will loose the Storyteller level and privileges, and a new Storyteller will be found to take their place. Any decision to remove or hire a Storyteller is at the discretion of the Overlord.
“Highlord” is defined as a Management Administrator. Those staff members who manage the operations, policy, projects and world-scale events of Deaths Omen. They oversee the general mechanics as well as assist with Role-Play Administration. The Highlord also keeps a constant lookout for the overall welfare of the game. They reserve the right to intercede upon IC events if they feel that those IC events will cause a detrimental affect to the overall welfare of the game. No Highlord holds authority over another Highlord. Any decisions to remove and hire a new Highlord will be at the discretion of the Overlord MA.
"Architect" is defined as the Systems Administrator of Death's Omen. Architects are responsible for maintaining the game's codebase, implementing new features, fixing bugs, and ensuring the technical stability of the world. While they may not be directly involved in daily roleplay or player petitions, their work forms the mechanical backbone of the game. Architects collaborate closely with other staff to bring systems to life, enabling the immersive and dynamic experiences that define Zalanthas. Their oversight extends to code development, system design, server management, and long-term infrastructure planning.
"Overlord" is the ultimate authority in Death's Omen, overseeing every aspect of the game's direction, world development, and administration. While they share many responsibilities with Highlords - including managing operations, shaping policy, and guiding world-scale events - the Highlord holds the final say in all matters, ensuring the game stays true to its vision. Beyond maintaining mechanical balance and narrative integrity, the Overlord safeguards the long-term health of the game and its community. They may intervene when necessary to prevent actions that could be detrimental to the overall experience and are responsible for hiring and removing staff as needed. The Overlords role is to steer Death's Omen into the future, maintaining both stability and innovation in the ever-evolving world of Zalanthas.

Rank: Overlord
About Me:
Embarking upon my journey as a role player, I first delved into the enchanting realm of Forever's End at the tender age of sixteen, under the guidance of the venerable Caladan, known on Armageddon Mud as Tleilax. Enamored by the allure of Dungeons & Dragons, I immersed myself ceaselessly in the intricacies of the game until its eventual closure, only to witness its phoenix-like resurgence as Forever's End 2. Alas, despite my fervent dedication, the game met an untimely demise, prompting a venture into other realms such as Harshlands, Shadows of Isildur, and Armageddon, where my passion for immersive role-playing thrived.
Following a hiatus, my return in 2012 saw me once again ensnared by the captivating world of Armageddon, rekindling the flames of my enduring ardor for RPI muds. Now, at the age of forty, I stand with a wealth of experiences, eager to channel my passion into the creation of a remarkable haven for fellow enthusiasts - a sanctuary where immersive role-playing converges with enjoyment, crafting an enduring legacy for those seeking the thrill of storytelling and camaraderie.
