Ember Blades

Overview

The Ember Blades are the disciplined citizen-soldiers of Solvalor, sworn protectors of its people and ideals. They are not knights, nor born of noble blood - and yet their presence at the walls, gates, and streets is as vital as any noble banner. They welcome all races who can stand beside the Knights of the Golden Flame with pride and resolve. They are the line between chaos and order - those who hold fast when others falter.

 

Formed in the wake of the Luir's Outpost liberation, the Ember Blades represent a new ideal: service earned through duty, discipline, and sacrifice. To serve is an honor. To serve alongside one's kin is a legacy. But to be named a Blade-Bearer, and have one's name etched into the sacred Ember Scrolls, is the highest glory. Those who fall in defense of Solvalor are not forgotten - they are remembered in fire and song, their names spoken beside the Golden Flame.

Every Ember Blade knows their duty - man the walls, guard the gates, patrol the streets, and shield the innocent. They are both the first call in times of need and the final bulwark when hope begins to fade. When the Knights ride, the Ember Blades march beside them - unshaken, resolute, and loyal unto death.

 

Their culture revolves around the blade - not as a symbol of conquest, but as a sacred burden. To wield a blade in Solvalor is to carry the weight of those you protect. It is not a right. It is a vow. And it is one they are trained never to break.

 

They are vigilant and proud, yet humble in purpose. While others rule, command, or judge, the Ember Blades stand ever ready. If they fall, they fall knowing their names will burn eternal, and the greatest dishonour is to have one's name erased from the Ember Scrolls.
